Ever since the news came out with all of its sudden and surprise, the deal between AT&T and Deutsche Telekom that will decide T-mobile USA future hasn’t stopped drawing attentions and opinions, at least until yesterday. Some express their pros, and some come with their concerns regarding the potentially harsh effect the deal will bring to the market due to the possible monopoly. But we know for sure that most observers agree that FCC is not going to give a rubber stamp on the papers easily.

AT&T must convince the authorities that the merger wouldn’t likely turn the competition into an unfair game and would be better for the carrier if it can also guarantee that customers will feel as comfort as now, even better. Regardless, don’t expect to hear any official announcement from both FCC and DOJ in this near period because they have clearly stated that they don’t even started the study dealing with the transaction. In fact, some people familiar with the matter even predicts that they need at least 1 year to learn about all the terms details before finally their decision gets announced.

Added those with the fact that some other companies, like Sprint and Clearwire, have expressed their objection to the deal, AT&T is surely put in a corner. Yet, the carrier with all its confidence believe that the merger will be approved.
