One of them is the Sidekick 4G, the next model of the iconic yet failed T-mobile Sidekick. Sounds dull, doesn’t it? Well, since you’ve been bombarded with such news then yes, it’s dull but it won’t be too dull anymore if I say the handset’s price tag was also revealed in the event.

Yep, the Big Magenta announced that customers can get the Sidekick 4G for $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a two-year unlimited data contract. Means that for the full next two years, you’re required to buy unlimited data plans from T-mobile. Still, you have another option if you think you don’t need unlimited data every month. You can have it for $149 without rebate. The handset will be powered by Android Froyo which makes it less wow, considering that Gingerbread 2.3 has already existed. Still, it works nicely and won’t likely bring you down.
