News About Samsung Nexus S, another High End Smartphone

As its predecessor, Nexus S cost $199 or $529 without contract (of course, Nexus One is now cheaper, its specs completely look dull as new technology is advancing everyday). Its high end look is supported by the sophisticated hardware installed in the device, though it doesn’t offer much improvement from the Galaxy S family. It runs on 1GHz Hummingbird CPU with POWERVR graphics chip and connects to HSDPA 7.2Mbps 3G cellular radio. Other similar features you can find are a 4″ Super AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel camera. No matter what the device comes with, we cannot deny that, that bunch of hardware are more than enough to place Nexus S among the high class Android phone.

Yet, you will find that the device is powered by Android OS 2.3, famously named Gingerbread, as soon as you turn on it. Even in this minute, people are still busy updating their OS 2.1 into Android Froyo 2.2, so we can be sure that Nexus S will be the only phone running in the latest Android system for a real while. Sounds like the same old song, isn’t it? You pack one device with an older OS, and pack the other with the newer one to make it look more interesting. In fact, Gingerbeard is not too pleasantly shocking. It is the same as well if your device is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo. Unless you’re a very passionate Android fans, you won’t be interested too much on this Gingerbeard.
